Our Story
Our journey began as small group leaders at an inner-city school in Oklahoma City, but much has happened since then.
In college, we developed a true love for our creative passions that would never fade away. Ashley pursued film, acting, and journalism, and spent time producing a television segment featuring live sessions with musicians. As for me, I pursued music with dear friends, got signed to a record label, and toured the country-all while running sound and DJing weddings.
This led to us starting a small production company in Oklahoma City that provided audio, photo, and video services for venues, weddings, and events.
In the summer of 2016, our Enneagram 7 personalities eventually nudged us to traverse the contiguous 48 states with our two-year-old daughter, Everly, on a three-month adventure we would never forget. We documented the entire trip on social media and began connecting with others interested in alternative living. This trip was life changing.
Soon after, we decided a nomadic lifestyle was in store. In the spring of 2017, we bought a van, converted it into a home on HGTV’s Tiny House, Big Living, and entered full-time vanlife. We traveled the states as tour managers and event producers for brands like Dos Equis, Hydrafacial, Bud Light Seltzer, 818 Tequila, and many more.
In 2019, we purchased a raw 18-acre plot of land in Salida, CO to build a creative retreat, providing resources to fellow creatives. This includes a classic A-Frame cabin, tiny production studio, vintage arts camper, hiking trails on the property, and plenty of space for nomadic friends and their adventure rigs.
